Growth is good. Over the past 12 months more than 100 million people were added to Twitter and Tweet have reached 25 billion. During this period our team has grown from 130 people to over 350.
This week we have added two new members to the Board of Twitter. Both have extensive experience in managing technology companies: Mike McCue and David Rosenblatt. Mike was CEO of Tellme Networks, and is currently CEO of Flipboard and has previously worked for Netscape and Microsoft (which acquired Tellme in 2007). David is the former CEO of DoubleClick and a former executive at Google. We also completed
a new round of funding with a new lead investor, Kleiner Perkins Caulfield Byers. Twitter KPCB brings experience in forming corporations, from A to Z of Amazon Zynga and a team with great expertise in Internet, mobile and social platforms. These additional resources will be extremely useful for the growth of Twitter.
